Christmas Craft party....

Well, i am very behind on my blogging, so i will try to catch up....i might do things out of order, but i will get it down eventually! :) these are some pictures from a craft party we had at the house last week! it was so much fun. kids came over and made decorations, frosted cookies and had a good time getting ready for christmas! hope you all had a great christmas!

my brother gets married tomorrow...crazy, so i will add pictures from that later too! :) and then we head to idaho for new years...so happy new year just incase i don't make it to a computer before then!

SAVIOR OF THE WORLD!!

here are some pictures from Savior of the World...for those of you who don't know, Jake and Blaine were in our church stake's production. Jake played the apostle John and Blaine was just in the finale but he got to run up on stage to Jake and sing the final song with everyone. We were so grateful to be a part of this play. it was such a great experience. it sure took A LOT of time on Jake's part, but he did such a great job. i will have to have him blog about it, since he was in it more than me.

Both boys were AWESOME....we are sad it's done, but so glad we can see eachother again and start getting ready for christmas! hope you are all having fun getting ready for christmas! we are offically counting down....ONLY 8 DAYS TIL CHRISTMAS!!!

GREAT NEWS....KAYLA IS GETTING MARRIED!!!! congrats to jake's sister Kayla...she just got engaged last night to her boyfriend Nate. They are such a cute couple and we are so excited for them. He treats her so good and she is so giddy in love!! we can't wait for the wedding in March at the REXBURG temple!

happy december!!

well, welcome to december.....it is officially time to bring in the holiday season! we started with putting up lights on the house (and when i say we, i mean jake and blaine) and then we moved to the indoors. jake and i put up our "fake" tree saturday night, so sunday morning blaine woke up with it ready to be decorated. he was so excited. so now that we have 1:00 church, we were able to put on the ordaments...and blaine did most of the work, loving every second of it. i love this time of year, but every year it seems to fly by faster and faster, so we are going to enjoy EVERY minute of it. happy holidays to all! :) this is just the beginning!

HAPPY (late) THANKSGIVING....

what a great weekend. i was not ready for the reality of today...back to normal monday. couple quick highlights....i ran in the turkey trot with my friend becky (and some of her family) and that was fun. i didn't do as well as i wanted, but not bad. i came in at 26 and a half minutes, i was hoping for under 25 minutes, but that didn't happen. oh well.

then we went to my parent's house for the BIG dinner. it was just us, my parents, jaime, carrie and mark. after dinner we went and saw the movie ENCHANTED. it was cute...kind of cheesy funny, total chick flick, but i liked it. it was clever and made me smile.

we had to go to bed early because jaime and i did DAY AFTER THANKSGIVING SHOPPING!!! we were up by 3:00AM!!! but i am like a little kid, so excited i couldn't sleep. so we got to Kohls by 3:20AM and hit the sales. after that we did the rest of our rounds and cleaned up! i have everyone done but my sister in law, but she will be easy!

now we are getting back in the swing of things. the lights are up on the house and the inside decorating will begin next week. then followed by christmas cooking. i love this time of year, i love the holidays! hope all was GREAT for everyone else! :)

I'm thankful for...an IPOD!!!

so, we decided to join the rest of the world...and we bought an i-pod!! it came yesterday and needless to say i have been on the computer ever since trying to figure out how this things works!! but so far, i love it!

now we can dance like some of these cool peopole!

but thanksgiving is also just right around the corner, so we made the traditional indian vest and headband. we are so thankful for our families and that we can eat lots of food on thursday! blaine is thankful for his family, friends, chocolate and bj (his pet fish!)
we made name tags for all the people coming to dinner this year...we are actually going to be a small group. blaine has just started writing, so he is showing off his awesome skills with these place cards. he wrote them all except i gave dotted guide lines for "grandma" and "grandpa" the rest he did all on his own. (i just had to tell him what letters to write!)

hope you all have a happy thanksgiving. be safe in your travels and eat lots. anyone doing day after thanksgiving sales...i am pretty hard core now...can't wait. be sure to stay out of my way because i will run you over if you're in my way that day! jk :) but it does get pretty intense. i just wish my sister diana would be here....believe it or not, she is crazier then me on friday! :) love you D!

OFFICIALLY MOTIVATED...

so...my friend Sharla and i have been flirting with the idea of running a 1/2 marathon. we have been running together for the past year and having a blast, but i just got my TOTAL motivation...Katie Holmes-Cruise just ran the NY marathon and if she can do it, i can do a half. not only did she run....but then she went to a premiere with tom that night IN HEELS!!! so if that girl with her crazy life style can do it..i surely can! anyone what to join the madness?! :)
*oh and she ran it in 4 hours 30 minutes (ish). and i guess that's pretty good.

****shout out to NY...my best friend is there (and has been wanting to run the marathon...DO IT!!) and now my dancing diva buddy just moved there too. i miss you kelly! i have to get back there to visit!*****

After Halloween SALE!!!!

We love the after halloween SALES!!!! so we picked up a couple cute costumes for dress-up play. here is blaine with is horse, bullseye. (he has an old woody costume he likes to wear with it). also, we have DR. blaine. he has been telling us since he turned 3 that he want to be a doctor when he grows up, so he loved the costume. and then lastly, its a picture of blaine with a witch's hat on, kind of silly! hope you all had a great halloween. can you believe we are in NOVEMBER!!! where did september and october go? didn't school just start?! time is flying!

oh...and i am making a vow right now....we will not gain 10 pounds this winter season!! i always work so hard all year long and then it all goes to pot by december. no self control....so who's in with me?! lets beat the buldge this year!! YAHOOOOO.....

We went to Disneyland last night and had such an awesome time. we had fun finding the characters and taking pictures. Blaine wore his Buzz costume and everyone there treated him like a celebrity! We have already had an awesome pumpkin carving party, my parent's halloween party and been to disneyland and it's not even halloween day yet. tonight we get to go trick or treating at daddy's work....we are getting all we can out of halloween this year!!

i can't believe it has already been a week since the mud run...but I DID IT!!! it was so much fun!! at first i couldn't believe that my friends talked me into doing it, but now i think i will do it every year! it was such a blast! the last time i played in mud like that i was in 5th grade and my best friend Rachel and i got in a "mud fight" in her backyard! we had more fun just jumping and playing in the mud, we didn't really take the run too seriously or run it for time. hope you enjoy the pictures of our crazy day. i loved it and it was the best mud bath i have ever taken!! (literally my skin was so soft that day after my shower!!)

It's a family thing!! Having so much fun!! Blaine and his cousins Aubrey and Anna....so cute!

So we went to the pumpkin patch for the third time last weekend with my sister and her kids! this is the pumpkin patch over in the laguna hills parking lot. it was a BLAST...thought we would just share some of the fun!

My heart goes out to all those who have lost in the fires...i am still in denial about everything. it is just way too close to home. my parents are living right in the heat of the "santiago fires" right now, so our prayers are with them and the fire-fighters. so far no damage to them, but the whole community is on "voluntary evacuation" and the fires are blazing up the hill! it just blows my mind and the thought that this was arson just makes me sick. honestly, who could do something like this and cause soooo many people to suffer?! i am trying to keep light and focus on other things (which is impossible since it is all around us!!) lets just hope and pray for the best. these fires are out of control and i just wish they would burn out!

Blaine had so much fun, he tried to crawl in their suit cases and go home with grandma and grandpa! our little stow away!

Jake's parents came to visit over the weekend and it was such a blast. It was a quick trip, so we had to squeeze the max amount of fun in 4 days! So, we went to my favorite mexican place JAVIER'S on PCH, and we went to disneyland all day friday, we did crafts at the teacher store, went to the PANCAKE HOUSE (yumm), went to the pumpkin patch and even got in a couple sessions of confrence. needless to say we were wiped out sunday night. we wish they could have stayed longer, but we had so much fun while they were here!!!
