Family Photo Sneek Peek

On Halloween, we had to do a quick family photo shoot for one main reason...MOVEMBER!!! for those of you who don't know what movember is...i will explain: for the month of november, men grow out a mustache to raise awareness for prostate cancer. well, this is jake's second year participating and you start growing november first...clean shavin....so i went into panic mode because normally i don't take family pictures until thanksgiving, but it was october 31st and i didn't want to have a mustache husband for christmas card pictures (and what not) so my mom came to the rescue and snapped a few (297) photos for us. and since i won't be mailing out a christmas card with ALL of my favorites, i figured i would just share them on the blog!

seriously...when did my little boy get so big?!
Ty is kind of the center of our world right now if you can't tell! :)

DaY oF AWESOME-NESS!!

we had a great day yesterday...a day so great there was only one way to describe it...AWESOME-NESS!!! it all started in Mission Viejo. every year there is walk against drugs to kick off red ribbon week, but what i didn't know is that there is also an "emergency response expo" after the walk down at the park. (which is what we went too) at the expo there were all types of cool police cars, fire trucks, and a helicopter even landed out on the field. it was so cool to see everything and there were also tons of booths with information to help keep you prepared in case of an emergency. we learned different things of what to do in case of a fire or earthquake! it was neatJake thought everything was pretty cool too!

all of our FREEBIES...flyers, bags, t-shirts, pencils, first aid kits, etc.... after the EXPO, we headed over to TOYS-R-US for "bricktober"...kids could come and build a free car and race them...we just went and built the car, blaine was in free lego heaven
to top the day off Blaine and i decided to got BACK to legoland and try our luck at the costume contest. we found out that the prizes for winning were actually really cool, so we came up with a cute idea....Blaine wanted to be LEGO MINOTARUS. it's a new lego game that he LOVES!! he was the Minator and then we made a "board game" to fit around his body, so it looked like he was in the game.my dad helped make the minator mask and i made the game board. i made the giant lego pieces our of paper and put colored marshmallows on the tops to look like lego topsthe host talking to Blaine asking about his costumewe were so excited when Blaine WON FIRST PLACE!!! he was super happy and just beaming. not bad for making the costume in under 2 hours and it cost us $0!! prize package included 2 lego sets, a blanket, towel, books and other lego gear. but BEST OF ALL it included a family 4 pack of legoland annual year passes! SWEET! Blaine was such a little stud and so excited, we thought he was never going to go to sleep after that. it was the perfect ended to such a great day...and best of all it didn't cost us a penny! (except in car gas). FUN DAY...way to go BLAINEY!!

just cute

these pictures are just cute, so i had to post them!

School Door

i was asked to help decorate Blaine's classroom door for the fall festival at school. we decided to make the theme "Mrs. Roman's Little Monsters"...so we took pictures of all the kids, then turned them all into little "monsters"...i think it ended up really cute and the whole class LOVED it!
here is a close up of Blaine's teacher Mrs. Roman and Blaine as a little vampireand here is the final product on the door! so cute...cute kiddos!

Lego Land Brick-or-Treat

Last year we went to Legoland's Brick-or-treat and it was so much fun that we decided to go again...this time with our neighbors (since they all have passes too!) the kids all dressed up and we had a great time. Blaine wore a sumo costume with a batman cape...so we called him "sumo batman...AKA FATMAN!!" and Ty of course was our little tiger! thanks to my mom who found this super cute costume! it was really gloomy and even started to rain, but we still managed to have a BLAST! i love this time of year!

batman and fatman!

i scream you scream...

so anyone who knows me knows i LOVE me some golden spoon...so when they were offering FREE golden spoon...i was all over that! on October 12th golden spoon was giving away free minis or smalls in honor of being voted BEST YOGURT in the OC. what started out as a simple trip to the yogurt shop quickly turned into a race against the clock and my sister Diana, my niece and i decided to see how many free yogurts we could get in one night. now...i'm not usually one to "take advantage of the system", but when golden spoon is on the line...all bets are off...and if something FREE is involved....well, here is what happens:
OH YES...that is 27 FREE YOGURTS!!! (only 26 pictured...Jake ate one!)3 girls, 2 hours and 8 yogurt shops later....we did pretty well for ourselves!! (jake and ty came with us to 2 stops...so we got a few extras!)

any of you who know my sister Diana, know that she CAN NOT come out to visit California without making a trip (or 2 or 3) to the beach...even if it is totally overcast. so we made a quick trip out to the beach for a few hours after school and still managed to have a great time...pretty much if the Priors are involved...it's a good time! :)
