Blainey's Christmas Program

The last day of School before the holiday break, Blaine's kindergarten class put on a little program along with 2 other classes. they sang 10 different songs including: Up on the House Top, Feliz Navidad, mousey in the snow (yeah we didn't know what one either) and the dradle song....so they tried to hit each nationality and religion! so politically correct! Of course Blaine was super cute, but since he is the tallest in class, he was stuck on the top row so it was hard to get a good picture of him. either way, he was so cute and did a great job!

Congrats to our little blainey who FINALLY lost his first tooth. his bottom tooth has been super wiggly for quite a while now....so daddy finally just popped it off! of course Blaine when straight home and put it under his pillow for the tooth fairy. the tooth fairy left him a very cool dollar coin. he now has another wiggly tooth on top and he is excited for it to fall out!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We hope everyone had a HAPPY THANKSGIVING! ours was great! it started with Blaine and me making "Turkey Sugar Cookies!"....i guess it's sort of becoming a tradition. But Blaine's hand are getting bigger, which might create a problem in the future....seeing that this year his hands were so big the cookies kept falling apart!but, they all came out cute, and more importantly...DELICIOUS!! then off to Grandma and Grandpa California's for some family fun and feasting! rachel settling down for a thanksgiving nap, while Rich plays Legos! we had to get home at a decent hour so that Jaime and I could catch some ZZZZZ's before waking up at..... yep... that clock says 2 AM!! out the door to hit the sales. we didn't do crazy Toys R Us (who opened at midnight) but we were in line for doors to open at 3AM! what a great weekend! how does Jaime manage to look adorable at 2am....i look like a total zombie! haha

THE STAND!

Jake had a very fun project a couple months ago...he wanted to make Blaine a stand that he could sell stuff at ie."lemonade stand". Jake also had another reason why he wanted to make the stand....he wanted BLAINE to have something as a memory that his DAD made (meaning something Jake made)...and not only memories of things GRANDPA CALIFORNIA makes. My dad has helped build lots of things around here...shelves, mirrors...A PIRATE SHIP!!! anyway, Jake made a pretty cool stand..."OUT OF SCRAP WOOD" (he wanted me to add) And now it has kind of become a saturday tradition to go out and sell stuff. since it has been so H-O-T here, Blaine has been selling otter pops and snow cones and business it doing pretty well. We think as it gets colder, we will have to think of something else to sell. well, here are some cute pictures of my little sales man out at work today:

Blaine will yell across the street to people walking by "Hey...wanna buy an snow cone"....i have to admit it's pretty cute, that probably why people end up buying something. Blaine just has a way with people. and it's always nice when the neighbors come out to support him...I mean, his prices are MUCH better then the ice cream man!

of course when business is slow, Blaine keeps himself occupied by playing Legos outside with Dad. he wouldn't want to miss a customer....SO COME ON DOWN AND GET YOUR SNOW CONES HERE

School "Fall Festival"

Blaine's school had a "Fall Festival" party on Friday and it was so fun! it still blows my mind that i have a child old enough to be having "School Functions!"...well, it blows my mind that he is in kindergarten at all! Big boy. anyway, of course i told myself i wasn't going to get "too involved" with too much stuff, i just wanted to coast through school....but some how i ended up "room mom" and PTA mom and running around like crazy organizing everything...funny how that works. i guess i am more like my mom then i thought!

Blaine helped me make cute sugar cookies to sell at the bake sale...and i am proud to say that with as much treats/food as they had...all my cookies SOLD OUT! :)
The kids started with a parade around the quad area...here is Blaine with some of his friends from class....Blaine really likes Maddie (gypsy costume) and Natalie (standing next to him)...i think he has a crush on both girls because they are all he talks about!

and this is Blaine with his BEST FRIEND from school Pedro! they play and eat lunch together everyday
Jedi Blaine and Clone Trooper Noah....Noah is our next door neighbor. he is in 2nd grade, but the boys still play together everyday!there was this cool giant slide you could buy tickets for...and Blaine loved it. he went down 5 times!
we made it through our first major school function/party....the first of many. it was a total blast, but now we know for next time to come prepared with lots of one dollar bills so we can "contribute" more....everything cost a pretty penny! but it's all for a good cause right?!?!

Lego Land's Brick or Treat

Lego Land has this cool night time "brick or treat" trail set up right now for Halloween, and we got to go and Blaine brought his friend Brett. The whole park was decorated spooooky and there were lots of fun Halloween things going on. there was a trail the kids got to walk through that had "trick or treat" spots for them to get candy and prizes. and of course some of the rides were still going, so the kids could do that. we had such a fun night!

Army Brett and Jedi Blaine
lock those boys up...
and it wouldn't be complete without a churro!
we HAD to get the ultimate picture of Jedi Blaine defeating Darth Vadar. it was a perfect opportunity!
