"OK, who put my stapler in jello?"

for those of you who are "Office" fans...you will appreciate this! Jake went into work on friday and this was sitting on his desk!...

yep...that is his stapler and business cards in JELL-O!!!! it is a joke that Jim plays on Dwight in "The Office!" it was kind of a late birthday prank from a couple of his co-workers. it was pretty much pure gelatin, so it kept it's form until saturday morning...it started falling apart! nice joke guys...we couldn't stop laughing!

Life's sweet moments...

this is kind of lame, but i looked out my window the other morning, and this is what i saw! i thought it was so cute, so i had to take a picture! sweet birds just cuddling on our fence!

i just want to say: sorry i haven't been commenting on people's blogs lately!! :( jake showed me how to view every one's blogs at once on gmail reader, and so i just look at updated blogs that way. unfortunately there isn't a way to comment from there. i will try to be better, just know that i do check every one's blogs often!

Pirate Party

yesterday was jake's birthday...HAPPY BIRTHDAY JAKE...and we happened to go to a party on his birthday! a PIRATE PARTY...ARRRRR! thanks to the awesome hostesses (jessica, lori, and christy) we had so much fun. we actually went to the party in our regular clothes, but since everyone actually was dressed up, we ran home and changed. there was yummy food and we watched Pirates of the Caribbean II. it was such a fun night...thanks guys! :)
we had cupcakes and sang to jake!the girls!

check out my sweet tat...compliments of jessica!
jake shaved his face for the part leaving just a little mustache and soul patch, so after the party he just shaved the whole thing off...my little baby face husband! the things we sacrifice in the name of dressing up! thanks again everyone for the fun night...we can't wait til next year!

Lake Nacamiento

we had such a great time up at the lake!! it was a family reunion on Cindy's side...my whole family (minus one sister and her family) and my uncle's family (minus one cousin) there were a lot of us, but that's what makes it so fun! thanks for all the fun memories! we are sufficiently battered and bruised and in need of some much needed sleep....but it was all worth it!
Jake and Blaine in the canoe...ummm, do you notice how high the front of the canoe is?
our family in the canoe...plus cousin jake. can you tell the 2 boys apart? which is blaine?
blaine learning to swim (against his own free will!) but he got the hang of it
cindy wake boarding
and blaine's thumbs up pretty much sums up the whole trip! it was awesome! but we are glad to sleep in our own beds tonight!

*video of cindy on the knee board *jake and blaine in the canoe

luckily there was only one real injury...unfortunately it was jake! :( he was doing this gnarly jump on the wake board and came down hard and sprained his ankle and scrapped up the side of his foot~or at least that is our story! ***he really just fell off a step getting into the car! poor guy ended up as the official flag holder on the boat! i decided to spare you the lovely pictures! our camera died on us otherwise we would have more pictures...what a great week!~

Flemmings!

Last saturday jake and i went to flemmings in newport beach with my sister and her husband! SO YUMMY!!! we were celebrating both jake and my sister's birthday and also my brother in law (mark) finishing the GMAT...and getting an awesome score! i just came along for the food...nothing special for me! thanks for the fun night!

call me lame, but i thought the salt and pepper shakers were so cute with the "S" and "P"...yeah i don't get out much! :)

carrie ate way too much...look at the big belly!!! just kidding, she is TINY for 6 months prego! congrats again carrie and mark!

first sleep over!!!

Blaine had his first "friend" sleep over (at our house) with his cousin Jake! my sister is here for a couple weeks and we are just having too much fun! my sister and i joke that these two were meant to be twins, but neither of us could handle 2 at a time, so they had to be split up...they are only 4 days apart! they get along and play just like best brother, buddies! we love having our cousins here! :)

Fun weekend!

These are just a couple last pictures from our fun weekend with Grandma and Grandpa Idaho...thanks again for such a great weekend. we can't wait for you to come visit again sometime!

not so smart....

sometimes i like to think i am still 10years old...but unfortunately my body thinks otherwise! we went to the park last weekend and i decided to do some flippies on the pole, just to see if i could still do it. i was pretty proud on myself because i could...but now i am really paying the consequences. my boss (a podiatrist) told me i torn the muscle that runs from my big toe all the way up to my knee. and on top of that i have developed tendinitis....not one of my best moves. i'm suppose to stay off it for 4weeks, but i am going water-skiing in 2 weeks, so that's not gonna happen!

flipping on a pole + getting old = A LOT OF PAIN!!! (but also vicadin!) :)

Discovery Cube

We did all kinds of fun things when Jake's parents were here. one of the things we did was go to the discovery museum. i always see it off the freeway, but we had never been before. it was pretty cute...but there were a lot of summer camp groups there, so it was crowded! here are some pictures of what we did!

it's BOB THE BUILDER time at the museum! Blaine sitting on Pilchard (honestly, who came up with that cat's name?)
this was suppose to be what it's like in a tornado...strong winds!this is a earthquake simulator...little did we know we would experience a REAL earthquake just a couple days later! that was fun! a 5.4 in orange county!
can we build it...yes we can!
inside a dino.
fixing pipes!
if you look carefully you will see our faces, hands, sandals and "ROBINSON" at the top!...i'm thinking this would make a good christmas card this year!~

"Thou shalt not covet thy daughter-in-law's hair"

this is my awesome mother-in-law remembering what it was like to have long, flowing hair! :) i told her to take advantage because i have decided to chop my hair off in october and donate it to locks of love!! i am doing it on Junior's original due date!
