a DaY aT THe BeaCH!

i discovered my new favorite, FUN way to stay off my feet...GO TO THE BEACH! on Friday there was no school so i grabbed Blaine, and a friend for him to play with (aka...to keep him entertained) and we headed down for a fun afternoon. all i had to do was get our spot set up, then the boys played the whole time, allowing me to sit back with a magazine and relax! i love living in SoCal! this is by far my favorite picture of the day....just a head in the sand! Playin some horse-shoesand you can't go to the beach without building sand castles!what a fun day!

Jog-A-Thon

On thursday, Blaine's school had their annual Jog-A-Thon, and Blaine did GREAT!!! i was kind of worried how he would do because it was actually a pretty hot day and Blaine isn't really a fan of running, but i was quite impressed! There was a little track marked off in the grass...the kindergarten had a smaller track then the older kids...and they tried to run as many laps as they could in 30-40 mins. All the kids were troopers and ran hard. they would take little breaks and drink water that was provided for them. of course i was one of the crazy moms trying to help keep track of all the kids laps. it was crazy, but in the end everyone had a great time and it was a lot of fun. The boy who ran the most laps in Blaine's class ran 26 laps...Blaine ran 23!! so not bad! :)doing their stretches before the run!and earlier in the week, the kids got to decorate a fun shirt...if you bought one!here comes the Blaineand after the race, they had a nice juice break! Good Job Kiddos!

we're getting there...

Here i am at 7+ months...32 weeks! i figured since i actually had gotten dressed for the day i better take a picture! this pregnancy has gone surprisingly fast...so far. but it seems to be slowing down and i think both me and baby at at the point where we just want him out! although he seems to want to come out a little bit tooo early, we have to wait a few more weeks. being off my feet seems to make things go alittle slower, but still it's coming soon...50 DAYS!!! (but who's counting...ok i am!)

Me WaNT CooKieS!!

so what do you do when you want homemade cookies, but you are suppose to be "staying off your feet?"....ANSWER: you invite a friend over, make the kids do all the work, and call it a PLAYDATE!!! yahoo!! or at least that's what i did yesterday! Since i am really trying to follow Dr's. orders and stay off my feet, Blaine and his friend Avery were my super chef helpers when making sugar cookies. they rolled out ALL the dough...cut out ALL the dough and had so much fun doing it. i could do the decorating while sitting, so i guess i helped a little. Thanks kiddos for the awesome, yummy cookies!

Blaine's new bed...PART 1

Well, Jake's latest project has been that he is working on building a SUPER COOL new bed for Blaine. we wanted to build a loft bed for him (pretty much a bunk bed without the bottom bunk). Blaine's room right now isn't super huge, so we wanted to find a way to make more room once the baby comes, since they will be sharing a room. so that's where the idea of a loft bed came. we will be able to put Blaine's desk and bean bag chair under his bed and not to mention it will make a pretty sweet fort to play in too...just throw a sheet over it and you're good to go. we really wanted a place for Blaine that he could go hang out and that would be his own. there are a lot of changes happening soon , and we really don't want Blaine to feel left out or forgotten since the baby will be getting lots of attention.
Jake and my dad worked all last saturday construction the bed (i love living close to my dad, he is so cleaver and Jake is learning a lot from him....plus he has tools!) now we have to sand the whole thing and paint it, which will take a few more saturdays worth of work! this is just stage 1, so i will keep you all posted as we progress! but it's sure looking good!Blaine is so excited!

Mother's Day Presentation

The friday before mother's day, all of the Kindergarten classes got together to put on a little show for the moms. it was so cute watching them sing little songs...they sang about 5 different songs. Blaine of course was up on the top row of bleachers...being the tallest kid in class! then each kid gave their mom a rose and a cool pad of stationary. each child had designed their own stationary just for their mom. i love mine. Blaine did such a good job. there are hearts and rainbows all along the border, and he signed his name at the bottom! i feel so loved!

awwww...the good 'ol days!

so sometimes i randomly check youtube, because the girl that i used to take dance class will post some of her latest dances...WELLLLL i was browsing today and what to my surprise popped up? i video that i just so happened to be in. we did this combo last year some time...i think i was even prego then, but i can't remember. her class is sooo much fun and i sure miss going, but i can't wait to get back in there! only a few more months and then i will be ready to BUST A MOVE again...good times! i know i'm not the BEST dancer in the group, but i sure always have a l ot of fun! i miss dancing!

Boys and their Toys

the other day our friend "big Blaine" brought over a cool hot rod car that him and his dad built together...and of course, the boys had to go for a ride! our Blainey thought it was cool, but REALLY LOUD and he kept reminding the driver of the speed limit! since their is no top, it felt like they were going faster then they really were!
the boys driving...Jake was actually they one driving. it was so nice of big Blaine to let him! nothing says "manly" like 2 dudes driving down the road in a tiny hot rod! so fun!

Camping...again!

A couple of weekends ago the boys wanted to go camping....again! this is their new favorite "father/son bonding" thing. which of course i don't mind, i get the weekends to myself. except this time. i figured i wouldn't have very many more opprotunities to go camping as i get bigger and bigger, so i tagged along and we all had a great weekend. but of course, the MAIN DIFFERENCE when i come, is that i have to document the whole thing and take tons of pictures...which is what i did! enjoy!as soon as we got there, Blaine grabbed his "camping shovel" and started digging a hole!
Blaine and me staying entertained while daddy was setting everything up...playing GO FISH!time for yummy camp fire cooking and the real reason why i came along...S'MORES!!

Happy Birthday Junior

Well, i can hardly believe it, but today marks 2 YEARS!! 2 years since our little boy was born...2 years since our little boy passed away....2 years since our lives changed forever. Just like last year i really didn't know how i was going to feel today. i think it was a blessing that i ended up being super busy all day. i didn't have time to sit around and think about things too much or get too emotional. being pregnant and all this year, i figured i would be a blubbering mess...but i have held it together pretty well. thanks to all of those who have sent sweet messages and to my mom who brought over flowers, which always makes me feel special. i have to say that i don't think i will ever "be over it" but i am definitely learning how to deal and get through it. there are still rough days when i miss my little guy, but i have been so blessed with a great husband and Blaine who is just so perfect, that i really can't complain too much. we know Junior is up in heaven watching over us and protecting us...and we sure hope he's keeping a extra special eye out for HIS little brother who is on the way. Junior, you will never be forgotten....just missed! We love you so much and we look forward to the day we will get to be with you again!

Blaine decided to make a birthday card for Junior all on his own! he did the entire thing ALL BY HIMSELF! it was the sweetest, purest and most precious thing ever!after the cemetery, we went out to B.J.s to help lift our spirits...so yummy!then we topped it off with cupcakes! today really was a special day. again...we sure miss you Junior, but love you soooo much!
