BLaiNe'S BiRTHDaY WeeK!!

Sooo, maybe this is just in our house, but when you have a birthday, you don't just celebrate one day, you have a WHOLE WEEK of fun. so heads up, this will be a long post, but it is to celebrate Blaine's birthday WEEK!!!

DiSNeYLaND~

so on his actual birthday, we went to disneyland. they are having "get in free on your birthday" deals this year. AND if you are already an annual pass holder (which we are) disneyland will give you a gift card in the amount of a one park day pass which = $59 for Blaine!! nice huh!some one is lookin' 5 today!!

Blaine started telling us that for his birthday we really wanted "one of those parties where everyone hides, and then when i come in the door i turn on the lights and everyone jumps out and yells surprise!"...so we pulled together a total last minute surprise party (since his REAL party was already planned) and just had my family over and a couple close friends! -Thanks everyone for helping us pull that off!Mission accomplished!!! he was totally surprised!Rice Family...Blaine's AWESOME CTR 5 teacher!And of course the Elders! Elder Dalton even brought a new magic trick for Blaine!

Each kid got a "booty bag" when they came in to put all their treasure inWe went on a hunt for real treasure!Captain Hook made an appearance...and we made him walk the plank

The Whole Pirate Crew! What a good lookin' bunch! we had such a great time. Despite the bad weather, we were able to pull off a pretty great party, thanks to my dad and some quick thinking, we were able to turn the garage into a "Cave of Wonders" with pirate ship and all! (yes, my awesome dad made that ship!) ...well, good thing we get a whole year to recoup from this party week so then we can do it all again next year! Happy Birthday Blaine...I LOVE YOU!
