at the beginning of November, we decided to make a "Thankful Turkey". we started with a naked turkey and everyday we would write something we were thankful for on a feather to add to our turkey!

ok, so once upon a time ago, one of my best friend from high school, Jaci, taught me how to crochet (random, i know right!?) but all i ever learned how to do was a basic square for quilts and stuff. well since then i have always wanted to learn how to do hats...and last night i gave it a shot. here are a couple that i made...with the cutiest models ever. now i wanna take a class or something and really learn how to make cute stuff! i'm sorry, but i just love these eyes!!

Blaine's school had their annual jog-a-thon last week, but this year they called it a TURKEY TROT!!! it was perfect weather for the run...unlike last year at the end of the year! it was so hot last time the kids were passing out all over! yikes! anyway...i'm proud of my blaine boy who did so well!~~here's a close up of blaine running by...and below is him getting a lap point
blaine jogged really hard and managed to do 18 laps!! way to go...and he still found time to walk and chat with his buddies
good job everyone!!

Over Veteran's Day weekend, we decided to go to Arizona since Blaine had a long weekend off of school. it was nice becuase we were able to "kill 2 birds with one stone" so to speak since i have 2 sisters in AZ we were able to see them both and Blaine got to play with 8 out of his 11 cousins! so fun! thanks to my sister Diana who let us stay with them...there's never a dull moment at their house! we had so much fun! the first night Diana and her family took us up to this fun canyon where the kids went hiking/exploring down a little river...then chad made us some yummy dutch oven. later we roasted marshmellows too!
macho boys...Blaine and his cousins Joey and Jake
me and D!
peek-a-boo Ty behind the trees
yummy gooey smores
the next day, my sister took us to this cute children's museum. it's all hands on and the kids had so much fun!
