WARNING: this is a long post of Ty's journey to get here...feel free to just scroll down and look at the pictures...it's probably what i would do! :)
What a roller coaster ride! our little labor story started tuesday July 6th when i went in for an amnio to find out if our little guy was ready to come to this world! at 8:45PM that night, we got "THE CALL" from our dr telling us that this baby is ready to come....and i would be induced first thing in the morning. YIKES...we better get ready! at 7:00AM Wednesday July 7th we arrived at the hospital. (top picture is me all ready to go!) when we got there i was starting this whole process at 0! no dilation, not effaced, not dropped...nothing. so we were geared up for a long day...and night!
Blaine had been in Arizona for the past week. my sister was so sweet to take Blaine while i was on bed rest. But once they found out i was going to be induced...they all hoped in the car and headed out for California. we were so glad to see his cute boy face for a little while...we had missed him so much!

Sooo, finally my water broke at 2:00 in the afternoon, but i still wasn't very far along. after watching "So you think you can dance" with my mom, (10:00PM) the nurse checked me again and i was only dilated to a 4! i couldn't believe it...15 hours and i was only a 4?!?! at that point we had given up our hopes of having a 7-7 baby and knew we would be here all night! so we sent mom home so we could all get some much needed rest. about 45 mins later, the nurse came rushing in to check me because the baby's heart rate was dropping, which meant we were progressing...i was at a 7!...ten minutes after that i was at a 10 and we were getting ready to push. WHAT?! it took me ALL day to get to a 4, and in an hour i was at a 10 and pushing?! well ok then. once my dr got there i started pushing and in just 5 good pushes...8 minutes, our baby was out! born at 11:14pm...talk about waiting for the last minute to be born 7-7!me with my Dr...Dr. Pollock
right away he never really cried. he just let out what sounded like a cute little purrrr...which is how he later got his nick name Ty the tiger. but something just wasn't quite right. it seemed like we only had him for minutes before he was taken up to the NICU due to respiratory issues. the next time i saw him, there where cords and wires coming out of him...an oxygen tube...monitors every where. and all i could do was look at my baby...i couldn't touch him, hold him, comfort him. it was the worst feeling on what was supposed to be the best day ever. so we just sat there and LOOKED at our baby...so tiny luckily we had some of the best nurses in the NICU...one even let us sneak blaine in to meet his brother for 2 minutes. no kids under 18 are allowed in. so we were so grateful.FINALLY after what seemed like days, we were able to hold our baby again...but no stimulation...just firm holding. we could come hold him every 4 hours but in between he needed his rest to get strong...like a tiger!
Ty received so much love and care in the NICU, and when he could have visitors, my family came a running!...he was in a "clean room" so everyone would have to scrub in and where a gown.Grandma and GrandpaAunt JaimeUncle Rich and Aunt Rachelin Ty's crib we kept a picture of our family, so he could look at us when we couldn't be there, and his new mascot...Ty the Tiger!Saturday July 10th...Ty's stats look GREAT and he is ready to come HOME!! no more tubes, plugs and wires...i get to dress my baby!
After soooo long, Blaine finally got to hold his brother for the first time Saturday night....and our family was all together the way it should be!we are so grateful to be home, happy and healthy! Thank you to everyone supporting us with your prayers and love. this whole experience of pregnancy and having a baby has been a rough one, but we are just so happy and blessed now to start our new family of FOUR!

WELCOME HOME TY!

Cindy,

Bow my head to you! Three boys, what will you do?? Thank gosh for Bella. I'm so happy all of you are together and healthy. I have a cousin who works in the NICU at Hoag, and truly they are special people who work in those units. Congratulations again and thanks for giving life to another TFG intern in training. . Best to you all and I can't wait to see the boys at Halloween! KW

Congrats you guys! He is adorable. I am so glad he is out of the NICU and healthy. That is hard to have to go back and forth and deal with all the tubes and wires. I can't wait to meet him in person. I can love on him for a while and get a baby fix!
