Happy Easter

We had a super "hoppy" easter this year!  starting with 2 big Easter egg hunts on saturday! the kids love it!

 Ty loves filling his basket with all kids of treats!

 then we headed over to the other hunt where we played with Prior family as well.  Ty and Carlee got even MORE eggs

 then of course we had to come home and decorate some hard boiled eggs.  we got a fun set this year and made little monster eggs

 Easter Morning!!!! the boys found their baskets and couldn't wait to see what the easter bunny had brought them!!

 and my handsome boys dressed in their sunday best to go to church and learn more about the real reason why we celebrate Easter~

Spring Break Party

on the last day of spring break, we had a little "water/pool/splash party!" we invited just a couple friends...and it was a blast!  the kids also made sugar cookies!  yummy treat

of course there had to be a water balloon fight!  the kids had a blast!  now it's back to school...

Potty Training!!

we have a potty trained 2 year old!! wahooooo!!!!  we can call it an early birthday gift to myself!  Ty did really well and got the hang of things in just 2 days!!  he still wears his "nightime undies" to bed (pull ups), but other than that he is great during the day!  

 sorry, but i just love nudies little legs!  big boy in his undies!

 he tends now to only want to wear either a shirt, or shorts....only when we have to go somewhere does he want to wear both!  funny boy!

ooohhhh MEXICO

we've had such an amazing spring break so far, and it's only half over!!!  we were so excited to be invited to our friends (the Allen's) condo in MEXICO!!!  i have been wanting to leave the country before i turn 30 and i can not think of a better way to check this off my bucket list!  we had such a great time with such great friends!  thanks again! we had a BLAST!!!

 the kids LOVED collecting shells...they put on a "shell show" which had more than 380 shells!

 and the kids would also put on shows for us every night!  dancing, comedy...

 The moms an kids all headed down Wednesday and the hubbys came down early friday morning!  it was great to spend some time with them as well!!  Jake and i also had a new years resolution to go on a "non family visiting vacation"!...CHECK!  (we love our families of course, we had just NEVER been on a vacation that was not visiting family!)

and even though we were nervous to cross the boarder withOUT passports, we made it back into the states safe and sound!  it was such a fun trip!  i miss it already!  ADIOS!

Dr. Seuss Week

In celebration of Dr. Seuss's Birthday, Blaine's school did a special READ WEEK!  The major challenge was to try to read 50 DIFFERENT Dr. Seuss books during that week.  we went to the library, looked thru all our books and even borrowed books from friends to try to get 50....we only managed to read 38 different books, but that was still a huge success!  Blaine also managed to read 8+ hours that week! way to go buddy!

 The kids had a Dr. Seuss Party on friday, so we made "Hop on Pop" Popcorn balls!

Bob the Builder

Ty is very much going through a "Bob the Builder" (or Bob Build as ty calls it) phase.  these guys go everywhere with us and Ty plays with them everyday!

 Blaine helped made a dinosaur out of rocks!  nice huh?!

 we are out almost everyday digging for "dinosaur bones"  i love this kid's imagination!

can we fix it?  YES WE CAN!...uh, i think so!
