what is it about a BOX that is so fun?! who knows...all i know is it kept my boys super happy the other night!! ahhhh, simple pleasures!

this was all i heard this afternoon while Blaine was playing with some friends. he has really gotten into Harry Potter and now they all love playing it together! it's cute to watch them act out scenes from the book/movie!

FHE 1.3 (1, first month 3, third time)

we did it again...another fun FHE and fire pit night! this is so fun for us to do! and we are excited to get to know new families better!

Pumpkins....10 weeks

alright, for those of you who are following our pumpkins...here is an update! they are starting to look good! we were a little worried for awhile when they looked like they were dying, but they have since perked up. i refused to let them die. these pumpkins have become like my little babies...they are now 10 weeks old! haha! a couple weeks ago i decided to dig them up and put loads of fresh, rich soil in there for them. our soil isn't that great, and since the "transplant," they have started growing stronger....we even have our first little circle pumpkin showing up! this is starting to be so fun on the street...we love walking down and seeing all the different pumpkin plants growing. (some better than others) we have one neighbor who has a whole patch growing...we told them to open a stand and sell them! either way, everyone seems to really be having fun with this! mission accomplished!

...i have red hair!!

I've always wanted to do this, so i finally just did! i had red put in my hair back in December, but it was very faint, but now....BOOM! it's RED and i LOVE it! the cool thing about they way we did my hair is it is actually bleached underneath, so i can touch up the color or even change colors whenever i want. so maybe halloween i can do orange and black, or valentine's day i can do hot pink! and of course if i get sick of it, all i have to do is dye it back to my natural color! my friend said "it's like nail polish for you hair!" yep! it's fun!

Playing with FIRE

we had so much fun tonight playing with fire!!! well kind of...my Brother Rich and his wife Rachel came over for some fire pit fun (of course) and we busted out some sparklers we got in ID. we started playing with them and got some really sweet pictures! thanks guys for a fun night....we always have a good time with ya!

Blaine LOVES his uncles Rich...he especially loves playing DS with him. those two have so much fun together...just 2 little boys! Thanks Rich for always being so fun with Blaine

Cheese Boy

if you are what you eat...then Ty must be eating a LOT of cheese...or ham! he has been such a cheese ball lately, especially when we take out the camera. he smiles silly, with his head thrown back and his top teeth showing. what a little goober! there's a cutie boy!!!

FHE fire pit #2

we did it again! FHE with friends is so much fun! thanks Burchs and Petersens for coming!we had a lesson on Honesty and how being honest makes us happy and when we are NOT honest, it makes us sad. they kids made happy/sad face pictures on a stick and then Blaine actually came up with some questions for the kids and they had to hold up their sign if what Blaine said was honest and happy or not honest and sad! Blaine does such a good job! i love having him help me with FHE lessons.and then our favorite...roasting marshmallows!

summer nights

the boys wanted to do a little camping...but not all the way! we decided to have a BBQ, bonfire campout night in the BACKYARD!! so Ty and i were able to hang out until bedtime...then i put Ty to bed and went to bed inside on our nice big bed while Jake and Blaine roughed it out in the backyard in a tent! they had a great time. Blaine wanted it to feel "real" so we turned out all the lights and only used the fire, flashlights and lanterns. we also taught Blaine how to play some new card games and by the end of the night he was whooping us at uno! such a fun night...this is camping i can do!the boys in the tentaround the fire!...Blaine roasted his first "perfect marchmellow" all by himself!!

FHE and bonfire

last week we had a really fun FHE (family home evening) with some friends! we had a little lesson, then made paper airplanes....raced the paper air planes and made smores! we had a lot of fun! Jake and i decided that FHE bonfires are going to be "our thing" so we are going to try and invite different families over each time! let us know if you wanna come! :)the walkersthe oylersus
