School "Fall Festival"

Blaine's school had a "Fall Festival" party on Friday and it was so fun! it still blows my mind that i have a child old enough to be having "School Functions!"...well, it blows my mind that he is in kindergarten at all! Big boy. anyway, of course i told myself i wasn't going to get "too involved" with too much stuff, i just wanted to coast through school....but some how i ended up "room mom" and PTA mom and running around like crazy organizing everything...funny how that works. i guess i am more like my mom then i thought!

Blaine helped me make cute sugar cookies to sell at the bake sale...and i am proud to say that with as much treats/food as they had...all my cookies SOLD OUT! :)
The kids started with a parade around the quad area...here is Blaine with some of his friends from class....Blaine really likes Maddie (gypsy costume) and Natalie (standing next to him)...i think he has a crush on both girls because they are all he talks about!

Jedi Blaine and Clone Trooper Noah....Noah is our next door neighbor. he is in 2nd grade, but the boys still play together everyday!there was this cool giant slide you could buy tickets for...and Blaine loved it. he went down 5 times!

we made it through our first major school function/party....the first of many. it was a total blast, but now we know for next time to come prepared with lots of one dollar bills so we can "contribute" more....everything cost a pretty penny! but it's all for a good cause right?!?!

Lego Land's Brick or Treat

Lego Land has this cool night time "brick or treat" trail set up right now for Halloween, and we got to go and Blaine brought his friend Brett. The whole park was decorated spooooky and there were lots of fun Halloween things going on. there was a trail the kids got to walk through that had "trick or treat" spots for them to get candy and prizes. and of course some of the rides were still going, so the kids could do that. we had such a fun night!

Caramel Apple Party

Last Night we had a super fun CARAMEL APPLE PARTY!! Blaine wanted to invite the neighbors and a few friends to get together and decorate apples. it's a new fun tradition and we had a blast. we had all the apples and I melted caramel in a big crock pot....then we just asked everyone to bring a topping to share. it ended up being more fun then i would have imaged. thanks everyone for coming and making yummy apples with us!

Pumpkin Patch

FALL IS HERE! well....even though it's still 80 degrees outside. but we are getting into the fall spirit and kicking it off with fun at the pumpkin patch! we went up to Oak Glenn with our friends the Burchs to pick apples and pumpkins and enjoy in the fall festivities....too bad that's not how the day ended out...we searched high and low for the perfect pumpkin...but with this crazy heat, all of the pumpkins were too soft and mushy

so then we went out to the fields for some apple picking....but for some reason all the farms were having a "NO PICKING" day....so we just took pictures on a log insteadAfter a long drive home, we wanted to be able to come home with SOMETHING, so we make a quick stop at Grandma's and picked some apples from her tree
Don't get me wrong, we had a BLAST that day. any day with the Burchs in a good day. it just ended up being one of those crazy, "everything goes wrong" kind of days...but who better to spend it with then family and friends!

Toy Story in 3-D

Earlier this week, we went to the TOY STORY double feature....Toy Story 1 and Toy Story 2 in 3-D! i had never been to a 3-D movie in the theaters, so it was pretty cool! the picture quality was AMAZING! and now we are so excited for the new Toy Story 3...in 3-D coming out next summer!

...the only down side to the movie, was it kind of gave me motion sickness and i had to leave early. but it was still way cool!

My Pikachu Cake

I have the BEST little brother! last week i told him that i really wanted some cake...i don't know why, i just really did (and NOOOO i am not pregnant!) He started telling me how he has taken up "cake design" as a creative outlet and that he would make a cake for me. so sure enough the next morning, bright and early, he came by to deliver me this super cute cake...aka my breakfast, lunch and dinner that day! thanks again rich! you are the best! love you love you!

too bad poor Pikachu didn't make it through the night!...he was sooooo yummy!
