Last Day of School

Blaine had his LAST DAY OF KINDERGARTEN last week and i can hardly believe that i am now going to have a 1st grader! when did he grow up so fast? here are just a couple pictures of his last day.Blaine and his buddiesHis very empty class room!and of course his wonderful teacher Mrs. Miller. we are ready now to have a great summer...lots of exciting things to come! yahoo

Baby Shower

Amidst all the craziness, sadness, and tough times...my friends still managed to throw me an AMAZING baby shower. i was overwhelmed with how many people came and how generous everyone was. we feel like we can have a baby now! Since i am on bed rest, i had my "special chair" that i had to sit and stay on while everyone came and catered to me. it was a little embarrassing since i don't really like to be the center of attention, but it was so nice to be around so many awesome people!my amazing hostesses with the most-esses...Paige and RachelMe with the "prego clan!"...me due July 15th, Paige due Sept 6th and Becky due Aug. 25th!even my cute neighbors came out to the party! thanks gals!i was seriously soooo spoiled with cute things. this kid is FOR SURE going to be the best dressed kid on the block! thank you sooo much everyone!me and the big brother to be..."Greatest Big Brother!!!"while the girls were oooggling over cute baby stuff, all the boys went out golfing. here they all are after just chillin.....doing what guys do best....PLAYING! this picture is classic!thanks again Paige for such a great shower...we make 2 hot mamas!!! love ya...you are amazing

and Blaine has already put some of our presents to good use...just breaking them in i guess!

Good-Bye Joshua

i am very sad to update today, that sweet little Joshua passed away yesterday morning around 10:15am. The doctors did EVERYTHING they could for the little guy, but unfortunately his body just was not responding. my sister put everything so nicely on her blog...click here for my sister Diana's blog. we are so sad and wish we could be there with them right now. prayers are still more then welcome for comfort right now during this tough time.

Father's Day presentation

Just like Blaine's class put on a presentation for Mother's day, it was time for the Father's to get some love. so today was they class presentation. It was adorable and we actually got a good seat this time. i'm usually just standing in the back, but this time we were just 3 rows back, so Jake saw it as a perfect opportunity to make silly faces at Blaine and get Blaine giggling out of control! what are dads for?!there's Blaine making silly faces back at dad!my goober silly boys!

unfortunately this program ended on a sour note for Blaine. see....since he is the tallest kid in class, he is always put on the top raiser. the top raiser doesn't have a back, or anything to help prevent the kids from falling off the top raiser....do you see where i'm going with this?! yep, i've kind of been waiting all year for this to happen...Blaine and the cute little girl next to him fell off the back of the raiser. i think blaine took a harder fall. he hit his head and scraped his back, so we ended up just going home after that. poor guy...one of the disadvantages of being so tall i guess! what a trooper.

Open House

On a lighter note of everything that has been going on....Last week Blaine had OPEN HOUSE! it still blows my mind that i have a child old enough for all of this, but i guess it's even crazier thinking that i will have a first grader soon! ahhhhhh! when did he get so big?! Since i have been the room mom, nothing was a big surprise for me to see, but it was all new to dad and still so fun to see. Blaine had his whole "tour" lined up for us...starting with the Career wall, to the graphing wall, he even took us to see the library, computer lab and where the first grade classes are. he's really excited to be a first grader next year and to go to school ALLLLLL day, i think it's just me that has anxiety about it! but he's ready

Each child got a memory book from the year full of pictures and different art work they had done each month...again, no real surprise for me there. (since i made the books! haha)

PRaYeRS FoR JoSHua....

This last week has sure been a rough one for my family. i have been struggling with my blood pressure this entire pregnancy, but it has been HIGH the whole time. so i was put on meds to help keep it down. well, on my way to work wednesday (my last week of work) i got really light headed...then i started to lose my vision and hearing. luckily i was able to pull over just before i passed out. i was able to have a good friend rush me to my doctor's and then was ambulanced over to the hospital. for the first time ever, my blood pressure was dangerously LOW...which caused my body to shut down. i was also dehydrated...so i was kept over night at the hospital for observation and to make sure my blood pressure stabilized. they also pumped SEVERAL bags of fluids into me by IV. anyway, we were finally discharged and i have been told to stay on "modified bed rest"...meaning i can walk up stairs, walk to the bathroom, and walk Blaine to school, but other then that, i need to be in bed. hopefully i should be ok...i had a doc app today and the baby looks good....i just have to keep an eye on my blood pressure and the baby's movement.

WELLLLLLL...while all of this was going on, little did i know my sister was going to be having a baby. this is my sister Diana who was due THE SAME DAY AS ME!!!! her water broke on friday and she was rushed to the hospital to have an emergency C-section. My new nephew...Joshua David... was born Saturday morning, and is really really sick. my sister has recovered nicely, but now we are all just concerned for Josh. he is in the NICU and struggling for every moment of life. the doctors are hopeful, but he still has a long, rough road ahead. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE keep my sister, her family and especially Josh in your prayers. we love him so much already and we haven't even been able to meet him. thank you everyone so much already for all your love and support for both me and my sister! we really appreciate it! LOVE YOU ALL!

BLaiNe'S BeD!!!

finally at long last....we are proud to announce....that BLAINE'S BED IS DONE!!!! yahoo! tonight is his first night sleeping in it and he is so excited, as are we! hooray! so we already showed you phase #1, so here is

and finally, PHASE #4....putting the bed in his room! little did we know that the longest part of the whole thing was going to be waiting for the paint to dry. it took all week, but finally Blaine has his new bed to sleep in. so this just means tomorrow we've gotta work on organizing his room and finding places to put all his stuff....plus leave a little room for his brother! YAHOO! so exciting
