Thanksgiving!

Happy Thanksgiving!  this was the first year we hosted thanksgiving!! i even bought my very first turkey!  Jake's parents were able to come down which was so much fun...and i had my mother in laws help through my first thanksgiving!

 we also had our THANKFUL turkey up.,,,we have lots to be thankful for!!

School FEAST!!!

Blaine's class at school had a thanksgiving feast, and man it was a FEAST!!  the kids had potatoes, cranberries, stuffing, jello, salad, rolls, and of course turkey!  my sister Diana made this super cute turkey cake that the kids gobble gobbled up!  

after the feast they put on a play with the rest of the school...they sang a song about a turkey shooting out of the oven.  it was really cute!  all of them were cutie little turkeys!

Desert Museum

it finally cooled off enough to go to the desert museum...so we went with the hubers!!  we had fun learning about the animals that live around here!  mostly birds, reptiles and bugs...but still pretty cool!

 Ty loved this Gila monster!!  he has been obsessed with Monsters Inc lately and this gila monster kind of looked like Randall...so he kept pointing and saying Randall Randall

 we did get up close to a sleeping mountain lion.  kind of cool, but i'm glad it was asleep and behind thick glass!!

Pumpkin Carving

We love carving pumpkins!!!  and the boys were such great helpers this year.  Blaine actually designed and carved his pumpkin all by himself!

daddy made a mickey mouse pumpkin that was a huge hit with ty ty!

i love to see the temple

 we finally made it down the the Mesa temple....and it was beautiful!  since it is so far away we have to bring the whole family.  so jake and i took turns!  i had fun walking around the grounds with the boys and they loved seeing the pretty pool and visitor center!  so pretty....i am glad were able to go!

...i'm going there some day...

Happy Birthday Jake

happy birthday jake!!one year older and wiser too?!  hope you had a great first birthday in AZ.  we love ya

we went out to Texas Roadhouse to celebrate both Jake and my sister Karen's birthday!  (karen's is just one day before jake's)  and of course at road house, they make the birthday boy/girl ride in the saddle!  giddy up!

 then we had a very merry mustache birthday at home.  jake was a little bummed that this would be his first year not having his annual mustache and rootbeer party, so we tried to have a little party of our own!  my mom sent plenty of mustaches for all...even little carlee!

 jake's favorite "death by chocolate cake"..and yes there are also choc dipped strawberries, pretzels, cookies marshmsllows and more

 but best of all, i surprised jake with 2 poster boards full of friends and family sporting mustaches for him.  he loved it...so thanks for everyone who sent me pictures...it turned out super cute!
